My girls and I got ready for my wedding and my now husband and I spent the beginning of our honeymoon here. It was honestly the most homely beautiful place I’ve stayed. I loved being able to see Perth’s lights through the window at night time and the double shower was also such a highlight. If you’re thinking about booking here honestly do it, you won’t regret it. A huge thanks to the hosts for also being so wonderful

This was a beautiful home and worked well for our stay for our bridal party. The home was clean, welcoming and relaxing but the only downfall we had was the air conditioning on a 38 degree day struggled as their was only one unit in the hallway.

Exactly what we needed, beautiful house, stunning location, clean, comfortable. The perfect size for a mini girls getaway. Absolutely recommend, summer or winter. The owners even let us have a small get together with friends on our last night which was so lovely! The only thing was the natural pool - it was definitely a new experience! Being completely honest wasn’t a fan of the algae but was very refreshing on a 40 degree day! Wear thongs 😉 Have been recommending to friends and clients. Whoever books I hope you have a lovely stay!!
We live in perth, but my family and I were wanting a little getaway from the hustle and bustle of city living. We are so grateful to of found The Lodge. Trent and Lina were great hosts and made sure we were well equipped during our stay. The beds were so comfortable, the best sleep we’ve all had in a while. The house came with everything you need and was cool and cozy during the Australian Summer. Thank you again for the experience!
The cottage is like stepping back in time and into a fairy tale. A great spot to ‘reset’ as well as explore the perth hills.
We were a family group of 5 and we had a lovely stay at Trent and Lina’s Airbnb. The accommodation was beautiful and very clean and Trent was always quick to respond to our smallest wish. We loved sitting out on the veranda for dinner in the evening and having the quoll visit, swimming in the pool and relaxing in the beautiful lounge room. Thank you very much Trent for a wonderful stay!
The Lodge was beyond our expectations. There are stunning gardens surrounding the property and the house itself has a charm of its own and you can really see the attention to detail in things. The bathroom has quality products and the beds are spacious. There is a single ac unit in the corridor but on a very hot day, it did not feel that warm inside plus there are pedestal fans provided. Outdoor area and balconies are great for photos. We spent sometime watching the sunset at the outdoor daybed. Would highly recommend this place.

Trent and Lina offer the most amazing property. The residence is everything you need and want and then some still. It is a place that offers space with intimacy all in one. The gardens are spectacular, filled with life and sounds of wildlife above and within. The Lodge offers a beautiful stillness, that can be so hard to find today, so if you are looking for rejuvenation, this is your number one location. Hosts that make everything simple from initial contact. Highly recommend and I will definitely be returning. Quality at its finest.
The Lodge is absolutely AMAZING. From the second you drive over the bridge onto the property you just relax and chill out. The home is lovely with the most perfect decor and furniture. The large couches and outdoor seating areas are just perfect for having a cuppa or a glass of wine later in the evening. It is spotlessly clean and the beds are so comfortable. At night the lights of Perth twinkle through the trees and the fairy lights around the yard just add to the wonderful atmosphere. Just when we thought it couldn't be any more perfect there is a resident quenda ( a native marsupial from the bandicoot family) who visit's in the evening, it was so cute. Thank you Trent and Lisa for sharing your fabulous home, we will back in winter to try out the fireplace.

This is a truly wonderful home and surroundings. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck at sunset, walking around the gardens and seeing bandicoots scurrying around. The gardens are lush. The house and all three bedrooms were beautifully presented. We had everything we needed. We loved the history of the house and its place in Darlington. It is walking distance to the cafes and park. Staying at "The Lodge" is like staying in a little pocket of paradise in the Perth hills. Loved it! The accommodation was clean, beautifully appointed and very inviting. We would highly recommend it.
We enjoyed our stay very much, and will definitely be back again. It was indeed a home away from home. Sitting on the rocking chair and staring at the beautiful greens is one of my favourite moment during my stay.
Wonderful lodge. Not a typical place, very special feel. Like living in a secret garden. Super clean, luxurious and well thought out. Darlington itself is so lovely, so many pretty walks and quaint village life and great gift stores and eateries.

Trent and Lina were the perfect hosts and have created an outstanding sanctuary that you will never want to leave. Everything was exactly as described, super easy check-in instructions, and Trent and Lina were on hand to provide as much or as little assistance as required. The Lodge has a relaxed and harmonious feel about it, there are little heartfelt touches everywhere, and you really do feel at home quite quickly. Plus the wildlife and surrounding gardens are magic. This place is amazing and great value for money. Trent the host is very attentive to any needs you may have and came around in a short time frame to bring things if I needed anything. The views are stunning and I just really loved the retro theme of the place it is so cleverly done. Very good hosts, wonderfully quiet location in the hills and a great place to chill out relax and get away from it all.

Very lovely, clean and comfortable accommodation in the hills. For a girls weekend getaway, it was the perfect place. Cosy lounge room with the fire going. The kitchen did not have a traditional oven/stove, only two hot plates that took ages to cook a meal. There was also an Airfryer and convection microwave oven, which we didn't really know how to use and could not be bothered having to work it out. Disappointed that we had to pay extra to have firewood for the fireplace, which worked out to be an extra $20 per night. If those things don't bother you, then you'll have a great stay. Communication with the owners was excellent.

Trent was very responsive to any questions that we had. This was a lovely property that was in a quiet area. We loved the atmosphere of the home as well as the indoor decorating. The beds had comfortable mattresses and nice quality linen. The indoor fireplace was a nice treat and I highly recommend ensuring you have enough wood and kindling as we ran out of kindling and couldn't source more. Highly recommend and we plan to visit again!

Trent & Lina's attention to detail from initial enquiry, thru stay period to departure were refreshing and also not invasive. "Dalry Lodge" was not only very comfortable, the interior design was impressive and elevated the tone of this special place. The wood fire added to the cosiness, the L-shaped verandah would be extra special on warmer days. Location, entry across a bridge, garden and views across the Swan Coastal Plain added to the lovely seclusion of this hidden gem. So close to Perth, yet a world away. Easy access to bush walks and strolls too. Thanks + best wishes. Certainly scheming a return visit or three!
The lodge is very unique, quaint and picturesque. It provided a wonderful and relaxing stay for us and the host communication was outstanding.
What an oasis! Such a tranquil setting, surrounded by greenery and nature, you can really forget you're in Perth and escape into your own wonderland in this place. Lots of space and a nice homely vibe to the place. All the kitchen amenities you could need, plus wifi, washing facilities and a beautiful deck with a rocking chair and day bed to relax on and listen to the birds or read a book. One of the highlights is definitely the open fire, it creates such a cosy feel to the lodge. Communication from Trent was great from beginning to end and I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

We stayed at Trent and Lina's Airbnb as it was so close to the Darlington Estate Winery for a family wedding we were attending. The location was perfect and the accommodation so comfortable and cosy. Our only problem being we didn't have time to stay longer and enjoy it to its fullest extent. A beautiful Airbnb. Thank you and very happy to recommend.

Trent & Lina's place is amazing - so much thought has gone into each room with thoughtful touches and unique decorative items. The best bits were the super comfy bed, outdoor table and deck, access to the pool, Netflix, the double shower and sink in the bathroom, and of course the location in the hills but so close to the many wineries and breweries of the Swan Valley. The story of this place brought a tear to my eye and you can tell renovating this place to such a high standard has been a real labour of love. I left some bits behind in the wardrobe and Trent was really helpful in offering to post or meet up to return them. We have only just moved to Perth and this was a great first night out and about, we will definitely be back when we return to the area.

This is an incredible place to get away from everything, yet it's still only a few minutes drive from Midland shops. Beautiful old restored house, peaceful and quiet location with nice gardens and pool. Trent was a great host, replied very quickly to a couple of queries and was always trying to make our experience as enjoyable as possible.

It was a pleasure to stay at the lodge and learn about the story about how it came to be today. A wonderful job has been done in restoring the place and it was a nice country get away for a couple of nights. Trent and Lina were wonderful, attentive and ensured we were comfortable throughout our stay.
The lodge was immaculately presented, lovely get away from the city. The pool was inviting and refreshing. Trent, the host, was always available but made sure we had our own space. Even had a couple of quendas (local marsupual) visit us each night. Would thoroughly recommend.

A stunning and professionally renovated historic property. Very comfortable and quiet. The veranda is particularly awesome. Bed in main bedroom is heavenly. Top quality bed sheets and shower amenities. Lovely meeting Trent. We delighted in observing the quendas, but they appeared to expect food from us. Future guests, do not feed the wildlife as you do more harm to them than good. Highly recommend staying here.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage and actually wanted to stay for longer!! Trent was very hospitable and even brought us extra towels in the evening for our baby. We spent our time snuggled on the day bed outside listing to the beautiful wildlife and watching the cheeky Bandicoots play. thank you again for making our first family holiday very special. **If your looking for a stunning backdrop for your family photos this is the place!! we asked for permission beforehand, the photos we got are incredible and we didn't have to pack the baby in the car to go anywhere 🙂

We stayed here for two nights for our wedding and it was absolutely amazing. The house is so beautiful and was a lovely place to get ready at, and to come home to after our big day. Amazing hospitality and generosity by the hosts, will definitely be back.

Trent and Lina's place is a slice of luxury and paradise. We enjoyed a private stay with all of our needs met. We especially loved the couple's showers, fireplace, glorious gardens, and pool. There was even a wrap around verandah with comfortable outdoor couches with city views. The place was spotless with we loved meeting the animals! We even saw some of the wildlife like a very friendly quenda and skink! We can't wait to come back!

Just back from a wonderful stay at the Lodge. It's all what other guests have left as reviews and you are still wonderfully surprised as soon as you enter the property. Trent has put a lot of effort and love in renovating the place and it shows in every aspect of the home. We enjoyed the verandah a lot in this weather and had a couple of surprise visits from a friendly family of Quendas! Darlington is a hilly and leafy suburb which reminds us of the SouthWest and we are so glad to have this at our doorstep in Perth! It is close to Perth Hills landmarks and is the perfect get-away place to tour the area. We highly recommend The Lodge!

Trent & Lina’s place is very cosy, stylish, has so much to do, for kids there is a tree house and a trampoline, and the swimming pool was amazing even in the cold and under the rain ☺️ the boys did swim and enjoyed indeed. Thereafter, we all enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace. Very clean, tranquil and has a breathtaking sunset view, and the birds in the morning are enchanting. We would love to come back again.

What can I say.. just gorgeous. Trent has done a superb job at renovating this little cottage. We came for a one night staycation away from the city, it was picturesque, secluded and peaceful. The fire was just the perfect finishing touch with some wine on a cold night. Everything was well thought out & beautifully presented. Trent was exceptional at responding and providing hiking tips. The Lodge is just beautiful. Wonderfully renovated house that is charming and homely. Beautifully decorated, and spotless. We loved the fireplace, comfy couches, lovely bed and twin shower. There is a lovely large verandah surrounding the house with beautiful views of the hills and city. We were very close to having to cancel our stay due to one of our kids being sick and Trent was extremely accommodating which was amazing. We will definitely be back.
Much bigger than I expected, gorgeous views from the balcony where we spent all arvo on the comfy chairs, looking at the view. Then inside for a warm fire, some jazz music, relaxing in the lounge... absolutely perfect setup!

We stayed at The Lodge to take branding photos for our business and it's simply stunning - the photos don't do it justice! The entire property feels like a peaceful retreat in the forest. We loved every bit of this tranquil space, tucked just far enough outside the city. We loved enjoying a morning cup of tea on the wrap around porch while listening to the birds. The place is beautifully decorated, and Trent genuinely goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect.

Trent’s house is the perfect place for a mini getaway. It’s only about 45 minutes from Perth which means you will feel like you’re going on a road trip, but not one that takes forever to arrive. The house is located in the heart of Darlington, tucked in amongst lots of beautiful greenery; you feel like you’re in the middle of the countryside. Check in was super easy. The house is a beautiful French/English antique style, both in the building structure and the furnishings. A lot of thought and care has gone into the decor. I found the bed super comfortable and warm. There’s a fireplace in the living room which adds to the ambiance, especially when it’s raining outside. There a couple of cafes, a bottle shop and park/playground within walking distance. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would happily return.
Awesome house
We live near the ocean, less than an hour from Trent's place, but as soon as we pulled into his street, it felt like we were a million miles away from everything and it stayed that way for our entire stay which was exactly what we needed. Trent is the ultimate host and did a bunch of things to make our stay extra special with decorations, flowers and bubbly on arrival as we arrived the day after my wife's 40th, plus a log fire all ready to light and all sorts of other little things that all added up to make this one of our best AirBnB experiences yet! The area (The Hills) has so much to see all within 10 to 30 mins drive - we had a full week of exploring and there's still sooo much to see - just as well we live less than an hour away so we can return soon!
Beautifully renovated, exquisitely furnished guesthouse, tucked away behind the main residence (where the host lives). The Lodge is private and quiet, surrounded by lush gardens. Almost everything has been thought of and the kitchenette is well appointed. Log fire for the winter, lagoon-style pool for the warmer months. An art gallery, walking trails and a couple of popular cafes are located nearby. Trent is an attentive and considerate host whilst leaving you to enjoy the space. Darlington itself is a picturesque part of the Perth hills. All in all, a great experience. We’ll be back.
